Wind Turbine Generator Team Lead Role

The Head of Wind Turbine Generators is accountable for defining WTG requirements, overseeing project development stages, and identifying best practices across projects.

This role involves leading a team to ensure sufficient resources are applied to deliver work packages on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Define and estimate headcounts and levels for project construction in various development stages.
• Create and develop construction planning for different projects and opportunities.
• Prepare specifications and technical documentation for project engagement and supplier evaluation.
• Assess RFPs, choose the most competitive wind turbines, and monitor contractors for engineering studies and multi-EPC / EPCI contracts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, legislation, ethics, and good practices across the offshore wind farms industry.
• Provide ongoing technical support, innovation, and liaison with other technical departments and teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A master\ 's degree in an Offshore Windrelevant discipline is essential. A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience within the power / energy sector and 5 years of offshore wind experience are required.

Knowledge of offshore WTG installation and associated activities, direct experience in design, installation, and commissioning, and specific knowledge of electrical and Scada aspects are desirable.
