Ciklum is looking for a Middle Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Spain.

We are looking for a proactive and process-oriented Middle Manual QA Engineer with expertise on functional and web application testing to join our team and help us build and release innovative and top quality Web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test planning, execution, and web testing, as well as expertise in problem investigation and test management. As part of our quality team, you will play a key role in ensuring our web applications meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web-based applications
  • Perform functional web testing to validate UI, workflows, and business logic
  • Use Xray or similar test management tools for documentation, traceability, and reporting
  • Conduct investigations of bugs and issues, collaborating with development teams to identify root causes
  • Participate actively in requirements reviews and design discussions to drive quality early in the process
  • Ensure adherence to established QA processes and suggesting improvements where needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in functional testing of web applications
  • Experience creating and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Solid expertise in using Xray (or similar tools) for test management and documentation
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to investigate complex issues, especially using tools like Chrome Web Dev Extension, Postman, and related tools
  • Process-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals; ISTQB certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with basic automation concepts or willingness to learn
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
  • Experience on maintenance projects for existing web applications is highly desirable
