Thoughtworks Spain is searching for an experienced Executive Partner for Growth to join our Sales team and contribute to meeting our ambitious growth goals for new clients in the Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI).

An Executive Partner for Growth at Thoughtworks is responsible for developing a pipeline of new opportunities, securing those opportunities and establishing strong 'Value' based relationships with large international companies. Our expectation is that you have a track record of engaging at a C-level, using a consultative and challenger selling approach to maximise the customer outcomes.

This is a strategic commercial role with ownership of the end-to-end sales process to attract and on-board new strategic clients, and for driving plans to grow our footprint within the Banking and Financial Services Industry.

Job responsibilities

  • Successfully hunt and convert new BFSI target accounts in Spain, creating the foundation for long-term, value-based relationships. Success is the sale of win-win value propositions and nurturing executive relationships for continuing business.
  • Credentialise Thoughtworks in BFSI through a network of exec-level industry contacts, a strong understanding of the Financial Services Domain (particularly Banking and Payments) and a current understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the industry in Spain.
  • Create and execute pursuit strategies, and build value aligned propositions at the company and at an individual level with clients.
  • Proactively create propositions that address an organisation's relevant challenges (in collaboration with other members of Thoughtworks).
  • Approach client executives as true business partners versus software delivery partners - expanding Thoughtworks engagement to encompass the breadth and depth of our capabilities, including where appropriate, our world leading Global Delivery centres.
  • Recognise that our people and our clients are at the centre of everything we do.
  • Smooth collaboration with internal stakeholders and colleagues is a must to be successful in this role.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 15+ years experience in selling into large Financial Services with a strong network of senior executive contacts in these organisations.
  • Proven track record of closing complex premium services contracts in excess of 5 to 10 million Euro and successfully building and growing client relationships.
  • Adept at consultative and challenger selling to shape and deliver transformative outcomes.
  • Can win and grow exec-level relationships and quickly move these beyond "sales" into "trusted partner" territory.
  • Strong ability to negotiate and persuade C-level stakeholders at the business and technology level.
  • Ability to bring sophisticated commercial negotiation skills to construct multi-year deals.
  • Well versed in AI and Data solutioning, Custom Software Engineering, Customer Experience (CX) and Managed Services and is able to demonstrate understanding of how these AI-driven delivery projects are executed.
  • Experience in leveraging partners as a channel of growth with established relationships with Cloud Hyperscalers and / or Core Banking vendors and other partners.
  • Ability to develop a territory plan that brings together an understanding of the industry, a prioritised list of targets and your C-level connects with the Thoughtworks value proposition and Vertical strategy.
  • Ability to communicate progress through numbers (TAM, pipeline, bookings, revenue).
  • Professional Skills

  • Demonstrable strong work ethic and an intrinsic motivation to succeed.
  • You are flexible and open to city and regional travel to meet teams and clients.
  • Demonstrate a successful record of proactively prospecting, opening new clients.
  • Native-level command of Spanish and fluent in English (our internal working language).
  • Primarily based in Madrid.
