Overview

The Senior eCommerce Category Manager will be responsible for leveraging data and insights to develop and execute category strategies that support financial growth goals with Kroger. This role acts as the digital expert for the KRO site merchandising and eCommerce team, influencing digital shelf fundamentals, search, and online merchandising to drive category strategy across digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Digital Category Expert and trusted advisor to support strategic business and site planning, enabling eCommerce goals such as sales growth, online penetration, and category share for top categories.
  • Provide objective, comprehensive consumer insights and actionable recommendations using tools like retailer data, digital search, site analytics, and shopper insights (e.g., Luminate, Circa, IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator, Flywheel, and in-store execution opportunities).
  • Lead the team in delivering site merchandising strategies, including macro site planning, digital aisle merchandising, paid and organic search standards, and campaign hubs.
  • Collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders to align and execute digital category initiatives.
  • Identify digital white space opportunities for growth, utilizing tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Mekko charts, and Excel for storytelling and presenting insights.

Experience & Skills

  • Highly analytical with experience leveraging data sources like retailer data, digital analytics, and shopper insights.
  • Strong storytelling skills using visual tools such as PowerPoint, Mekko, and dashboards, with a customer-focused presentation style.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of thriving in ambiguity and defining the future of digital category management.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

    Salary Range : $118,400 - $148,000

    Bonus : Eligible for performance-based bonus per plan terms.

    The offered compensation will consider internal equity, geographic region, experience, and other factors.
