Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sonar Systems Engineer to join our Technology team in a phase of expansion and growth.
Responsibilities Characterization of Piezoelectric Transducers : Perform detailed characterization of piezoelectric transducers, focusing on frequency response, sensitivity, directivity patterns, and electrical impedance.
Analog and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) : Implement digital signal processing techniques to enhance sonar system performance, including noise reduction, signal filtering, and echo detection.
PCB Design for Analog and Power Electronics : Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for high-frequency analog electronics and amplifiers used in sonar systems.
Electronics Design for Sonar Systems : Design, develop, and optimize electronics for sonar systems using piezoelectric transducers.
Cross-functional Team Collaboration : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain thorough documentation, including technical specifications, test results, and certification records.
Testing, Certification, and Validation : Plan and conduct in-lab and in-field testing of sonar systems.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field, along with 5+ years of experience in sonar system design, transducer characterization, and electronics for underwater applications.
