Electrical Engineer Specialist in Protection and Control of High Voltage Electrical Substations

We seek a seasoned electrical engineer to join our team as an expert in protection and control systems for high-voltage substations. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, specification, supervision of installation, and commissioning of these systems, adhering to stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review basic and detailed engineering designs for protection and control of high-voltage substations.
- Conduct and review protection selectivity studies and short-circuit studies.
- Preset detailed technical specifications for the acquisition of protections, ensuring specific project requirements.
- Participate in the technical evaluation of bids from suppliers of protection and control systems.
- Supervise and coordinate the manufacturing, factory acceptance tests, installation, and commissioning phases of the equipment.
- Manage the technical interface with suppliers, contractors, and other departments involved in the project.
- Lead or actively participate in on-site acceptance tests.
- Resolve technical problems that arise during installation and commissioning.
Required Qualifications and Experience
University Degree in Electrical Engineering; specialization or Master's degree in Power Electrical Systems or High Voltage is an asset.Minimum 7 years of experience in the design, specification, and / or review of protection and control systems for transmission electrical substations (220KV or higher).Proven experience with top-tier manufacturers' protections : SEL, Siemens, ABB, GE.Familiarity with electrical drawings and control diagrams.Substation commissioning experience is valuable.Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with international (IEC, IEEE) and local technical standards.Awareness of electrical design and simulation software : ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory, AutoCAD Electrical.Key Skills
Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.Languages : B2 / C1 English, with the working language being English.Flexibility to travel based on project demands.#J-18808-Ljbffr
