We are looking for an experienced E ngineering & R&D Leader to drive innovation and excellence in a global industrial environment. This is a strategic role leading a multidisciplinary team of +30 engineers (mechanical, electrical, software) and shaping the launch of a next-generation industrial machinery platform with international impact.

What we are seeking :

A visionary yet hands-on leader, capable of motivating teams, ensuring technical excellence, and bridging local engineering with global headquarters. A professional with strong communication skills, stakeholder management in multicultural settings, and the ability to influence and deliver results in a complex, international environment.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity to take part in the design and global rollout of cutting-edge industrial machinery, based in Maresme area (Barcelona) area.

Key Highlights :

  • Proven track record in leading large technical teams in design & production of industrial machinery.
  • Strong experience in international, matrix-driven organizations , ensuring cross-border alignment and collaboration.
  • Solid background in end-to-end R&D project management , from concept through design, engineering, and global launch.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of 30 engineers, ensuring motivation, accountability, and high-quality performance and be a technical reference for the them.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and reporting of technical and R&D projects, ensuring alignment with global standards and business goals.
  • Coordinate closely with headquarters in Germany to ensure strategic alignment, technology transfer, and integration of best practices.

    • Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering team leadership, with at least 3 years in a technical office / R&D management role, preferably in the packaging or machinery sector.
  • Experience working in an international organization with exposure to global engineering standards and cross-border collaboration.

    • Requirements

  • English & Spanish fluent
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.

    • Additional Requirements & Interpersonal Skills

  • Solid command of tools such as SolidWorks, SAP, Scrum; Beckhoff knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Capacity for strategic thinking and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment.
