Job Offer : Digital IC Designer – Sant Cugat (Barcelona)

About the role

FlexiiC is looking for talented and motivated Digital Design Engineers to join our growing team. You will contribute to the design and implementation of lightweight digital systems, including custom digital ICs, and ultra-low-power microprocessors (8 / 16-bit or compact RISC-V cores) for next-generation wearable, sensing, and IoT platforms.

These positions are open to Bachelor, MSc and PhD candidates , and we welcome applications from individuals with different levels of experience. What matters most is strong motivation, solid technical foundations, and a genuine interest in digital design for emerging electronic technologies.

Key responsibilities include :

• Design, modelling, and verification of digital circuits using VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog.
• Development of lightweight processors, microarchitectures, and digital controllers.
• FPGA design, implementation, and testing.
• Digital IC design flow participation : RTL design, synthesis, static timing analysis, and sign-off support.
• Integration of digital blocks into mixed-signal systems and flexible electronics platforms.
• Performance, area, and power optimisation of low-resource architectures.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (analog, systems, applications).
• Contribution to documentation, internal specifications, and, where appropriate, patent or publication activities.
