Tech Lead Java Developer

At Qaracter , we’re looking for a Tech Lead Java Developer to join a leading financial institution’s strategic projects in Madrid. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of critical initiatives, mentor developers, and ensure delivery excellence while working in an international environment.

🔍 What You’ll Do :

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, ensuring coding best practices and high-quality deliveries.
• Design, build, and optimize backend solutions with Java 8+ and Spring Boot (springboot-starter-web) .
• Build and consume REST APIs (HTTP verbs, status codes, versioning, documentation with Swagger / OpenAPI).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Ensure Git best practices and code review processes.
• Drive technical discussions, propose improvements, and align with business requirements.
• ️ What We’re Looking For :
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 8+ mandatory) – streams, lambdas, collections.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot (springboot-starter-web) .
• Solid experience with REST APIs (design, consumption, versioning, Swagger / OpenAPI).
• Good knowledge of Git for version control.
• Strong communication skills and leadership mindset.
