JOB INFORMATION Job Title : Senior Technical Artist
Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to help bridge the gap between art and engineering, pushing the quality and performance of our mobile games to new heights. As a key member of the team, you'll drive technical innovation, streamline pipelines, and ensure the seamless integration of art assets into Unity. This role requires both technical mastery and artistic sensibility—you'll not only solve complex production challenges but also mentor other artists and collaborate closely with engineers to deliver stunning, optimized visuals to millions of players worldwide.
Your main responsibilities :
Technical leadership : Serve as the go-to problem solver for technical art challenges, guiding decisions on best practices and scalable solutions.
Innovation & prototyping : Research and prototype new techniques, tools, and technologies to keep our games at the cutting edge.
Lead and optimize pipelines : Design, develop, and maintain efficient art production workflows and tools that improve usability, performance, and quality across projects.
Cross-team collaboration : Partner with artists, animators, and engineers to bring high-quality assets into Unity, ensuring they meet both artistic vision and technical constraints.
Performance & optimization : Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to rendering, lighting, memory, and asset performance across devices.
Mentorship : Support, train, and upskill other artists in technical production methods, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
Job Requirements :
Proven experience as a Technical Artist in game development, with at least one shipped title (mobile preferred).
Deep expertise with Unity3D art tools, shaders, materials, lighting, and rendering pipelines.
Strong coding / scripting abilities.
Solid understanding of 3D modeling, rigging, animation, and VFX tools (e.g., Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Photoshop).
Strong aesthetic sense and ability to collaborate effectively with both artists and engineers.
Demonstrated experience with optimization for mobile platforms (rendering, memory, performance).
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Proactive, creative, and solution-oriented mindset.
Resume and Portfolio / demo demonstrating your skills and aesthetic sense are required materials.
