Professor David Wehrheim (Strategic Management Department, IESE Business School) is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to contribute to ongoing research projects on R&D, innovation, and strategy, as well as to support teaching-related activities. The position combines data analysis, literature reviews, and research support with assistance in preparing and organizing teaching materials.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong academic background in economics, strategy, or business who is considering a future PhD or research career.
Responsibilities Collect, clean, and analyze datasets
Conduct econometric and statistical analyses (Stata, R, or Python)
Perform literature reviews
Draft figures, tables, and background notes for working papers
Support teaching-related tasks such as preparing case packets, slides, and teaching notes, and helping with course organization
Recent Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate (or final-year student) in Economics, Strategy, Business, or related fields
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Proficiency in statistical software packages (Stata, R, or Python)
Organized, self-driven, and motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment
At least B2 level fluency in English and Spanish
Interest in pursuing a PhD in Strategy, Economics, or related fields (preferred but not required)
Conditions Full-time position based in Madrid
Salary : €1,830 / month before tax
Spanish work contract with full Social Security coverage
Start date : October 1, 2025
End date : 1 year, possibility of extending depending on performance and funding
