Overview
SOLTI is an academic research group that performs clinical trials of excellence in oncology. Currently, SOLTI is comprised of over 550 renowned research professionals distributed over a broad network of more than 100 leading hospitals in Spain, Portugal, France and Ireland.
SOLTI focuses its efforts on developing cutting-edge clinical trials with novel targeted therapeutics including innovative translational research, fostering the participation in international networks and promoting excellence in the management of cancer among their members.
Responsibilities
Perform automated statistical analyses for clinical trials and real-world data (RWD) studies using R.
Design electronic case report forms (eCRF) in REDCap.
Integrate clinical and genomic data from diverse sources.
Review project-related documents and prepare statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and statistical reports.
Develop prognostic and predictive models to validate biomarkers in oncology.
Apply advanced biostatistical programming to support sample size calculations, power analyses and the design / implementation of algorithms for health data analysis (including survival analysis).
Stay up to date with the latest cancer research and statistical methodologies.
Contribute to internal and external scientific communication activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Deep Learning or equivalent relevant experience / Master’s in a related field.
Proven ability to design, manage and analyze complex databases.
Experience with database management software (REDCap).
Strong computer and analytical skills, particularly in R or Python.
Genuine motivation to learn and a passion for delivering practical solutions.
Previous experience in clinical research within a (bio)medical or academic setting (clinical and / or preclinical); knowledge of molecular biology is a plus.
Familiarity with machine learning models (XGBoost, TensorFlow) and / or AI-based tools for data analysis.
Fluent Spanish (spoken and written) and a good command of English.
