Manufacturing Engineering Specialist (Steel & Electro Mechanical Services, EMS) – Based in Spain, Europe. The role reports to the Steel Manufacturing Engineering Manager and focuses on developing and managing the local supply chain, driving industrialization, ramp‐up, and continuous improvement of steel and EMS processes and supplier networks.

Responsibilities Lead technical qualification efforts to support product launches, balancing quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability.
Coordinate cross‐functional teams (product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering, vendors) to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program schedules and costs.
Identify and analyze problems; implement improvements with recognized business benefit.
Lead cost‐reduction initiatives for assigned suppliers.
Coordinate day‐to‐day project activities to deliver all deliverables on time.
Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues; own root‐cause analysis, corrective actions, and documentation of results.
Host recurring project meetings and provide status updates to all stakeholders.
Actively participate in meetings and business development opportunities.
Advocate for the internal customer voice within Nextracker.
Visit suppliers frequently and track execution performance.
Required Qualifications Advanced negotiation skills.
Experience with steel or EMS manufacturers, manufacturing processes, and regulations.
Experience in CM or OEM manufacturing with at least two years of regular factory work on process development, DFM, tooling readiness, and product launches.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
Fluent oral and written English; other European languages a plus.
Strong cross‐functional communication and collaboration skills; remote supplier interaction.
Capacity to think creatively and drive results.
Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt quickly.
Highly autonomous.
Availability to travel up to 60% during the first year (regional travel in Europe).
Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or higher).
5–10 years of experience in steel or EMS fabrication with proven ownership of equipment installation and volume ramp‐up.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
English proficiency level C1 / C2.
