Overview Security Software Engineer - Tech Foundations at Alan. Tech Foundations – Mission and Scope Mission : Tech Foundations enables Product Crews to experiment and ship product increments quickly, prioritising quality and reliability with security as a nonnegotiable attribute.

Scope : infrastructure enablement for product crews; security and compliance facilitation; developer productivity enhancements; design and development unification (e.g. Design System).

Focus for 2025 : grow the team, improve foundations from infrastructure to code (backend / frontend / mobile), and enhance our security stack and developer tooling.

Is this you? – What we’re looking for We are looking for experienced Security Engineers to strengthen our security posture across the engineering organization :

Strong background in application and infrastructure security; hands-on experience with Application Security Testing and Penetration Testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in web and mobile apps.

Experience protecting organisations from cyber threats and with platforms to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.

Passionate about building secure products and systems.

Familiarity with cloud security and modern web application security.

What you might bring Object-oriented programming experience (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and enthusiasm for web technologies and modern JavaScript.

Willingness to work with Python / JavaScript; not required to have experience with both.

Self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset; collaborative, eager to learn and teach; fluent in English.
