Thermal Works LLC is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to manage startup / commissioning and service for all Thermal Works equipment. The role involves working directly with the Thermal Works team and local contractors, focusing on mission‑critical infrastructure such as data centers, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works' U.S. headquarters.
- Manage preventive maintenance and service schedules.
- Perform on-site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
- Execute preventive maintenance and service tasks for clients.
- Be available on call for emergency issues.
- Monitor service software closely to ensure timely service delivery.
- Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
Education / Experience
Technical or Vocational Degree / Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems.F‑Gas Category I Certification (in accordance with EC Regulation No.).3–5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical systems for mission‑critical infrastructure, including data centers, healthcare, or industrial facilities.Experience with chillers and CRAH units, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with EU safety standards, PED, and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and system optimizations in live environments.Specific Skills / Abilities
Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.Knowledge of hydronic systems.Effective troubleshooting of HVAC systems.Understanding of refrigeration theory and applied sciences.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑service focus.Fluent in English and Spanish (additional European languages a strong plus).Basic knowledge of reading drawings.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Consistent focus throughout the day.Position Details
