Position Overview :
We are seeking a software engineer with a PhD in a relevant field to join a highly skilled R&D team. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of signal post-processing software solutions that analyze electromagnetic signals interacting with implanted metallic coronary stents. Your work will be central to refining and developing algorithms for processing complex signal data, ensuring accuracy and performance for real-time, point-of-care diagnostics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in signal processing and experience handling data from medical devices. Expertise in telecommunications engineering or applied mathematics is highly desirable, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, optimization, and deployment of advanced signal post-processing software tools for analysing electromagnetic signals from implanted coronary stents and translating them into clinically meaningful outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of engineers, biomedical specialists, and data scientists to refine and integrate signal processing techniques into broader biomedical device systems.
- Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets generated by interactions between electromagnetic fields and metallic implants, identifying patterns, interference, and signal distortions.
- Develop innovative solutions to reduce noise, enhance signal clarity, and ensure reliable data extraction in challenging environments.
- Stay current with advancements in signal processing, biomedical engineering, and relevant telecommunications techniques to improve existing methodologies.
Requirements (Must-Have)
PhD in Signal Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.Proven expertise in developing and optimizing post-processing algorithms for electromagnetic signals.Strong background in signal analysis techniques such as filtering, time-frequency analysis, and noise reduction.Proficiency in scientific programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++) for algorithm development and data analysis.Demonstrated ability to work with and interpret complex, large-scale datasets, particularly those involving interactions between electromagnetic fields and metallic structures.Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)
Experience working with biomedical signals, particularly those related to metallic medical implants (e.g., pacemakers, prosthetics, stents).Background in telecommunications engineering with expertise in wireless signal interference, multipath effects, and related challenges.Experience with machine learning or AI techniques applied to signal processing and biomedical data.Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards and relevant electromagnetic safety protocols.
