Currently, we are looking for Reference Data Analyst from Malaga or ready to relocate. Candidate should be ready to work from office 4 days/week.

We always hire for a career in EPAM, but the initial client for this hire is a leading UK based Hedge Fund with aggressive growth aspirations and a challenging delivery agenda.

Our Business Analysts work at a deep level with clients within an existing distributed team, helping form specifications and ideas for new systems and acting as a key bridge between development and testing teams and front office trading, risk and quant staff.

What Youll Do

• Review and solve daily exceptions raised on Equities, Bonds, Issuers, Equity and Credit Indices, etc
• Work with data vendors such as Bloomberg and S&P to correct inaccurate data points
• Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders and subscribers of reference data
• Reference data onboarding using Azure Databricks including data quality checks and alerting
• Assist with testing during regular and major sprints
• Work with EDM developers for overall maintenance of platform
• Help with defining and documenting procedures for reference data in order to increase data quality and integrity within the organization

What You Have

• Significant experience of work in Financial companies / projects and good understanding of Capital Markets, particularly of equity instruments
• 3+ years reference data experience working for a buyside firm
• Proficient in SQL and Python coding languages
• Demonstrated understanding of how organisations consume, lifecycle, and manage their data
• Excellent understanding of reference, security, instrument and entity data types
• Good theoretical knowledge of the inputs needed for derivative and securities pricing
• Shows initiative and willingness to learn
• Clear and concise communication style

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with Markit EDM software and data lake technologies
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with developers
• Prior experience building a security master
