Overview

DS&A TM1 Business Enablement Lead – R&D role at Sanofi. Global scope within the Decision Support & Analytics (DS&A) team, covering the Research & Development Global Function.

Location : Barcelona

Note : This description reflects the responsibilities, qualifications and expectations for the role as provided.

Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert for TM1 & Reporting Insight solutions within the R&D perimeter
  • Lead the deployment of TM1 solutions for R&D in line with strategic and functional TM1 Core Model standards, ensuring Master Data Management, data integrity, and user support & training across Controlling Operations & R&D Finance teams
  • Coordinate with Head of Data Visualisation & Dashboarding to deploy Reporting Insight solutions
  • Deliver Reporting Insights aligned with R&D Finance & Controlling Operations requirements
  • Translate complex business requirements into TM1 / PowerBI designed solutions
  • Ensure project management methodology is followed to develop, test & deploy project phases
  • Monitor progress to meet milestones; manage risks / issues
  • Engage with project stakeholders & governance bodies to facilitate decision-making and escalation
  • Prepare and transition required SLAs / KPIs / Knowledge Transfer & Training, plus Functional & Operational documentation to Controlling Operation teams

Job Summary

  • Own the project deployment lifecycle for standardised global TM1 / Reporting Insight solutions for the R&D perimeter, aligned with Group strategy
  • Scoping, definition and design of business requirements with stakeholders
  • Lead TM1 design models to meet business needs and Group objectives
  • Document operational view on architecture for new or changed modules, ensuring scalability and standardized processes
  • Escalate issues / change requests to TM1 Project Governance
  • Manage project teams to deliverables and milestones
  • Manage functional processes including knowledge transfer and initial Controlling Operations training
  • Contribute to best practice sharing and continuous improvement; provide expertise as needed
  • Ensure effective change management across stakeholders
  • Contribute to project governance processes and oversee global / regional / local steering committees
  • Design & Implementation

  • Support Global Process Leads in gathering process flow and requirements
  • Lead gap analyses and TM1 design documentation; produce design specifications
  • Lead TM1 design activities to align with business needs and Group objectives
  • Lead deployment activities using appropriate methodologies; coach teams accordingly
  • Present status reports to sponsors and stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate risks / issues to project / program management
  • Monitor progress, address change requests, and propose model updates to Steering Committees
  • Testing & Training

  • Ensure robust System Integration Testing
  • Define data and user acceptance testing criteria
  • Coordinate user acceptance tests
  • Produce TM1 functional documentation and transition knowledge to Controlling Operations
  • Support creation of TM1 Operational documentation with Controlling Operations teams
  • Change Management

    Together with Global Process Owner teams, perform change management activities including :

  • Impact assessment of process changes
  • Contribute to communications
  • Set up action plans and allocate roles
  • Be a change agent promoting benefits of proposed changes
  • Participate in workshops with relevant stakeholders
  • About You

    Professional Experience

  • 5+ years in Finance environments with exposure to Global / Regional teams
  • Track record in controlling / accounting and financial reporting; experience in Pharmaceuticals or Consumer Products preferred
  • Experience translating business needs into process and implementation requirements in Finance system projects
  • Strong TM1 knowledge is advantageous
  • Understanding of R&D Finance Operational activities is advantageous
  • Key Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced understanding of Project Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
  • Broad understanding of controlling and end-to-end reporting processes; familiarity with SAP, TM1
  • 3+ years’ experience implementing systems across multiple countries / scopes
  • Knowledge of TM1 modelling and design approaches
  • Ability to translate complex needs into clear processes and frameworks
  • Project management of complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with cultural awareness
  • Ability to train and coach team members
  • Proactive with a focus on delivering results; self-motivated and resilient
  • Autonomous with strong self-management and adaptability
  • Main Interfaces / Relationships

  • Internal : Business Operations, Controlling Operations, R&D Finance teams; engagement with senior leaders to Executive Level
