We are looking for a skilled Product Owner to join us and visit our office in Valencia, Spain.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage Product Backlog : formulate the list of backlog items and prioritise them as per the critical business objectives.
  • Define Sprint Objectives : define the suggested sprint objective which will serve as a base to determine the sprint goal.
  • Review and approve the work done by the development team : inspect the product increment in each iteration from design preparation to production release verification.
  • Provide effective communication to the stakeholders : act as the central communicator between the development team and stakeholders.
  • Backlog Refinement : prioritise, enhance, and finalise items with the team before sprint planning.
  • Create and maintain Change Requests associated with the product : gather and prioritise operational changes and include them in the backlog for future sprints.
  • Define Acceptance Criteria : establish clear acceptance criteria and confirm with stakeholders to guide QA testing.
  • Gather Functional and Non-Functional Requirements : ensure requirements meet expectations and maintain them through the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and adjust Requirements as needed during the project lifecycle (Epic, Story levels).
  • Verify Requirements : confirm that gathered requirements are fit for purpose.
  • Create and maintain Epics, Stories, Use Cases, and Edge Cases to ensure high-quality content.
  • Participate in OKR planning : work with stakeholders on quarterly OKRs, including estimations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role (e.g., Business Analyst, System Analyst).
  • Technical understanding in : requirements lifecycle, Scrum and Agile methodologies, user experience principles. Coding / design is a nice-to-have.
  • Strong communication skills to convey product goals and report insights to maximize product value.
  • Ability to analyse issues, gather information, and make decisions quickly; solve complex problems logically.
  • Use technical, analytical and communication skills to make decisions about product success and development; collect and evaluate information to implement solutions.
  • Experience establishing and managing processes, leading productive meetings, and fostering collaboration.
  • Ability to lead a team without formal management authority, provide vision, mentorship, negotiation, and conflict mediation to keep development on schedule.
  • PSPO level 1 or similar is helpful but not required.
