Senior Litigation Lawyer

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for a Senior Litigation Lawyer to take ownership, guided by the Litigations Manager, of litigation strategy for Plazo , one of ID Finance’s most innovative consumer credit products.

This is not a typical litigation role : candidate will be shaping how we defend and protect the product in court, working side by side with our Regulatory, Product, and Operations teams to anticipate risks, strengthen our contracts, and design pragmatic strategies that support business growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the strategist : Help defining the litigation and procedural approach for Plazo, from drafting response templates to setting defense guidelines.
• Project management : Learn about LPM and coordinate some litigation projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment between Legal, Operations, and external counsel.
• Anticipate risks : Work with Regulatory, Product, and Operations to spot contractual and operational vulnerabilities and turn them into action plans.
• Drive resolution : Help defining settlement strategies and extrajudicial solutions that are pragmatic, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals.
• Legal quality control : Supervise some part of the paralegals work, ensuring consistency and quality in every response.
• Analyze jurisprudence : Monitor and interpret court rulings and judicial trends to optimize strategy, anticipate risks, and improve outcomes.
• Engage externally : Actively participate, when needed, in legal forums, conferences, and industry events to stay up to date and position ID Finance as a thought leader.
• Supervise partners : Coordinate, under Litigation manager instructions, external counsels to deliver efficient and impactful representation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally : Share best practices with Litigations, Ops and Regulatory Teams among other teams and ensure group alignment.
