Role Overview As a Senior Platform Engineer at ID5, you will play a key role in building and evolving the core platform that underpins our identity services. You will work across cloud and bare-metal environments to ensure our systems are stable, reliable, scalable, and observable. Partnering closely with product and data teams, you will help define and implement best practices, design fault-tolerant infrastructure, and develop automation and tooling that empower teams across the business. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in agile, data-centric environments and wants to make a direct impact on the future of digital advertising addressability.
Key Responsibilities Own and evolve ID5’s platform, ensuring stability, reliability, scalability, and observability across services.
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute platform expertise to architectural decisions.
Participate in the on-call rotation to support critical production systems.
Help define and champion platform engineering best practices, principles, and standards.
Build and improve platform observability with a focus on actionable, predictive metrics.
Design and deliver fault-tolerant, highly scalable, and highly available systems.
Develop self-service tooling and automation to empower product and data teams.
Perform maintenance and lifecycle management of applications and infrastructure, including defining processes for upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications Several years of experience building and operating platforms that support SaaS, DaaS, or ML workloads in large-scale production environments.
Deep understanding of platform engineering and DevOps principles, with practical experience supporting data-centric workloads.
Experience working across both bare-metal and Cloud environments.
Skilled in designing and operating distributed data platforms such as Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch.
Familiarity with modern data practices such as data lakes, data warehousing, and large-scale batch / streaming pipelines.
Comfortable writing automation and platform tooling (Python, Bash, Go, etc.), including scripts and services to support data engineering workflows.
Experience with CI / CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.).
Comfortable working in a small, highly agile, and fully remote team.
