Overview A dynamic international pharmaceutical organization seeks a seasoned professional to lead and optimize its global supply chain operations. As the Global Supply Chain Director , you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
About the Role The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of management experience in the pharmaceutical sector, including a customer-facing role with big pharma clients. They should possess expertise in sourcing, production scheduling, planning, launches, and warehouse management, as well as proven ability to lead large teams (15+ people) and grow / develop team leaders.
Responsibilities Develop and execute the supply chain strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
Lead a diverse team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, production scheduling, logistics, and customer service.
Drive cost optimization, process efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance.
Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, regulatory, and commercial teams.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate cost-effective sourcing agreements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, including GMP and GDP.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) preferred.
Languages : Proficiency in English required. Spanish highly valued but not mandatory.
Willingsness to travel up to 30% internationally.
