Role Description

The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Air Drilling Associates' safety and environmental policies at the Tenerife project site. This role ensures compliance with company and local regulations, promotes safe working practices, and supports the operational team in maintaining a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices at the project site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.
  • Report, investigate, and document incidents or near-misses, ensuring proper corrective actions are taken.
  • Support the development of safety plans, emergency response procedures, and environmental controls.
  • Provide HSE inductions and awareness training to employees and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports.
  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and company management regarding compliance and safety initiatives.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in all site operations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in HSE roles (preferably in industrial, oil & gas, construction, or field operations).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, incident reporting, and safety audits.
  • Strong understanding of safety culture and ability to conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in field environments (drilling sites, workshops, or remote areas).
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Must be a permanent resident of the Canary Islands (Tenerife).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Spain.
