The Role

The Role :

• Reporting to the Head of Financial Analysis (based in London), the Financial Analyst works as part of the Finance team. The Financial Analyst is based in Madrid and works closely with the VP Project Finance.
• The Financial Analyst prepares financial models and analysis of solar power plant projects, focusing on financing opportunities in Spain, including :

Build and analyze financial models for Project Finance debt raising.

Evaluate the merits of potential financing opportunities, providing scenario analyses and performance optimization suggestions.

Maintain the model portfolio for existing and new power plants, improving it with information from developers, finance, and operations.

Support in reporting the performance of each plant to management, investors, and lenders, and detect signs of underperformance and root causes.

Learn quickly about the technical aspects of solar power and communicate effectively with developers, finance, and external advisors.

Assist in preparing and maintaining budgets, management accounts, and presentations for company management.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in existing processes.

Desirable Skills :

Experience in Financial Modelling with advanced Excel skills; VBA experience is advantageous.

A systematic, structured, and rational approach.

A self-starter who thrives on challenges.

Confidence in communicating with external parties.

Fluent in English and Spanish.
