We currently have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the Paris Operations Engineering Team as a Consultant Engineer , based in the Madrid Office or Barcelona region, reporting to Carles Martinez, Group Manager, Field Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with our clients to understand their businesses and help them prevent and control losses.
- Ensure all hazards are properly identified at client locations : conduct onsite loss prevention evaluations to identify all reasonably foreseeable physical and human element exposures for perils.
- Accurately quantify exposures at client locations to ensure the Account Team focuses appropriately on these exposures and their potential impact on the business.
- Take steps to guarantee the operational functionality of protective equipment at client locations to maximize loss mitigation opportunities and ensure protection systems are maintained at all times.
- Obtain local client understanding and agreement on hazards / exposures discovered and their potential business impact.
- Implement practical onsite risk improvements, such as human element / maintenance programs and low / moderate cost physical improvements, and develop plans for high-capital improvements aligned with Account Engineering.
- Illustrate the value-added capabilities of FM engineering and collaborate with Account Engineering to educate clients on loss prevention measures where appropriate.
- Identify upcoming changes to prevent associated exposures by providing timely, high-quality plan review services for medium complexity modifications, ensuring proper loss prevention considerations during the design stage.
Qualifications
An engineering degree with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Power Generation; experience in mechanical and / or electrical maintenance is highly valued.A self-starter with problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with a genuine desire to improve risks.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical thinking with logical application.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and oral; additional European languages are a plus.The role requires travel up to 40%, mainly within the assigned geographical area but also across the operational territory.If interested, please apply via the Job Postings within the Career Center following the instructions.
