Staff Software Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our client, a fast-scaling technology company building products used by millions of users globally. This is a senior hands-on engineering role for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, shaping architecture, and leading by example—not just following predefined blueprints. You’ll work across the stack with PHP, Node.Js, and React, designing and delivering high-performance systems in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of large-scale web applications serving high user volumes
• Take ownership of complex technical problems, driving solutions from concept through implementation
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define architecture, APIs, and system patterns
• Set standards for code quality, performance, and scalability across backend and frontend systems
• Mentor engineers, providing guidance on technical decisions and long-term architectural direction
• Work across the stack—designing backend services in PHP / Node.Js and building intuitive, performant React frontends
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and user experience for large-scale, data-driven applications
• Contribute to the company’s technical strategy, continuously improving tooling, processes, and infrastructure
