Senior Mechanical Design Lead

Lead Data Centre Mechanical Engineer We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the mechanical design of our data centres. The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and strong technical expertise in cooling systems, HVAC design, and mechanical infrastructure.

This role involves coordinating mechanical design, reviewing consultant and contractor designs, and providing solutions to complex mechanical challenges. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in reviewing and coordinating mechanical design and delivery on large-scale data centre projects.

The right person will be responsible for driving innovation in cooling strategies, energy efficiency, and sustainability across international projects. They will also oversee mechanical aspects of commissioning and handover into live operations.

Responsibilities Coordinate mechanical design for new data centre projects

Review consultant and contractor designs

Provide solutions to complex mechanical challenges

Drive innovation in cooling strategies and energy efficiency

Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need a Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with strong technical expertise in cooling systems, HVAC design, and mechanical infrastructure for mission-critical facilities. Proven experience reviewing and coordinating mechanical design and delivery on large-scale data centre or critical infrastructure projects is essential.
