Overview
Job Title : Planner / Scheduler
The Planner / Scheduler is responsible for advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management, implementation, and analysis. This role may involve a major project or several smaller projects. A thorough understanding of policies, methods, and procedures is required, including advanced planning and scheduling techniques, risk analysis, risk management, and support of project objectives.
Responsibilities
Implement project planning and scheduling strategies, plans, and procedures reflecting both company and contractor roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) in conjunction with the Project Lead, Project Cost Engineer, Contractor project controls leads, and the Project Execution Plans.
Prepare staffing, engineering, construction progress, and customized reports.
Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
Conduct project schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule risk analysis for the entire project.
Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule, highlight bottlenecks / delays, and propose corrective actions.
Contribute to the Monthly Project Report and prepare specific reports and presentations related to planning and scheduling.
Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance or change order.
Prepare resource plans for overall and individual project phases, identify peak resource requirements, and recommend peak leveling strategies.
Qualifications
Expertise in project controls and time / schedule management, preferably within the Life Sciences / Pharma or related sectors.
Extensive experience with project scheduling tools (Primavera P6 preferred).
Ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs and performance data into a master schedule platform, and to deliver project and program status reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Tenacity and drive to add value and develop solutions.
Ability to develop good working relationships with the project team.
