About the Position

The WatchGuard IT software development team is a fast paced and innovative team that deploys mission-critical, leading technologies for our award-winning security appliances as well as our internal and external customers and device services worldwide.

We are seeking a passionate and creative Web Developer who can lead and deliver unique web experiences for our global partners and customer sites. The candidate will have deep experience in web development functions including design, development, testing, content management, and site maintenance. This is an opportunity the front and back-end web experience and create a world class communications hub for our user base. The Web Developer will also be a main contributor to our internal collaboration site.

Position Responsibilities

• Use cutting-edge web front and back-end technologies to create high-performance, captivating user experiences
• Work cross-functionally to plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
• Develop and optimize UI functionality to ensure web applications are rendered consistently in cross-browser environment
• Collaborate with developers to define the information architecture, build customer features, optimize our web experience, and establish and implement best practices and standards for all presentation layer developments
• Work closely with Marketing to design workflows and pages, test ideas, and gather / understand their requirements
• Develop functional prototypes from wireframes and mockups as well as document the implementation
• Research and recommend new technology to enhance user experience
