Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our business activities and contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust and secure IT infrastructure.

This role is key to ensuring smooth internal operations, supporting cloud and on-premise platforms, and helping us scale our technological backbone in alignment with our mission to deliver excellence in bioinformatics.

Key responsibilities include :

Infrastructure & Systems

• Administer and monitor computer systems, networks, and IT equipment ensuring functionality and optimal performance.
• Install, configure and update operating systems and tools on Linux-based servers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Docker containers used for internal tools or scientific workflows.
• Operate and maintain workload managers or job schedulers used in data processing workflows.
• Handle backups and ensure availability of data storage.

IT Support & Administration

Requirements include at least 2 years in IT support and / or system administration, including experience working with Linux servers and Docker containers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, networking knowledge, performing system updates, data backups, and recovery, and experience with monitoring systems for infrastructure and storage.

Preferred skills include familiarity with scientific tools such as Conda, R packages, and RStudio Server, exposure to cloud platforms, and experience in bioinformatics facilities / laboratories.

Personal skills include problem-solving ability, critical thinking, continuous learning, results-oriented attitude, attention to detail, process discipline, strong communication and collaboration, and proficiency in multiple languages.
