We are looking for a talented APQP / PPAP Quality Engineer to orchestrate structured quality planning and execution from program award through to Start of Production (SOP). You’ll act as the voice of the customer, drive value creation, mitigate risks, and support cross-functional teams to achieve CoQ and OEE targets.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Lead APQP and PPAP activities Actively participate in cross-functional team (CFT) meetings and gate reviews from Award to SOP.
- Ensure process readiness during design and industrialization phases — covering flow charts, PFMEA, AAR approvals, PV testing, IMDS, Workspace Instructions, operator training, and control plans.
- Drive Cost of Quality (CoQ) initiatives—targeting reduction during launch and ramp-up phases (SOP + 1 / 3 / 6 months), while mitigating internal and external failure costs.
- Facilitate Stage IPSO readiness , coordinating Run & Rate events, evaluating tooling, appearance, dimension risks, tracking OEE performance and escalating early deviations.
- Co-lead global risk assessment and escalation.
- Lead problem-solving during development using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, DMAIC, and DOE.
- Support internal stakeholder alignment for a seamless transfer to production — ensuring sustained quality post-SOP, addressing claims, ECR / ECM, and warranty..
- Facilitate knowledge sharing : present PPAP requirements, document lessons learned, and standardize quality best practices in future projects.
