Role OverviewWe are hiring a
Senior Business Analyst
for the Zurich Technology Delivery Center (TDC) in Barcelona, part of Zurich Insurance Group. The role focuses on translating business needs into technology solutions that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Business Product Owners to understand business objectives, needs, and priorities.
Lead the elicitation of business requirements and translate them into solution designs that make a real impact.
Create as‑is and to‑be models, including personas, user stories, processes, user journeys, and success metrics.
Plan and conduct engaging elicitation sessions and deliver high‑quality project documentation.
Prioritize requirements to generate Minimum Viable Products (MVP) and Minimum Lovable Products (MLP).
Approve specifications and solution designs provided by the Solution Architect, ensuring quality and alignment.
Identify dependencies and impacts across systems and workstreams for seamless project delivery.
Work closely with Subject Matter Experts and development teams to bring solutions to life.
Support Change Management activities through documentation and training, helping stakeholders embrace new ways of working.
Support post‑implementation activities, including problem‑solving, measuring benefits, and adapting the product as needed.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment on project goals.
Identify risks proactively and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Keep documentation accurate and accessible for all relevant stakeholders.
Suggest improvements to business processes and systems based on findings and feedback.
QualificationsIndividual Contribution & Technical Requirements
At least 7 years’ experience in a Senior Business Analyst role, ideally in mobile app development within large, complex organizations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, requirement engineering, design thinking, and agile methodology skills.
Advanced written and spoken English communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.G., Azure DevOps).
Highly organized, systematic, and detail‑oriented.
Project Management Skills
Experience planning, prioritizing, and managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Ability to work in dynamic, fast‑changing environments and manage multiple priorities.
Proven track record supporting change management and organizational transformation.
Experience in the insurance industry, especially Commercial Insurance, is a plus.
People & Stakeholder Management Skills
Team player skilled at building and managing stakeholder relationships.
Good self‑management and stress resilience.
Open‑minded, innovative thinker who embraces new ideas and approaches.
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multi‑cultural environment.
Spanish and German language skills are a plus.
