Senior Accountant

Job Description

Our client, a global healthcare company, is looking for a Senior Accountant to support financial operations and act as a key liaison with finance teams across regions. The selected candidate will need to possess strong accounting expertise, deep knowledge of local taxation laws in France and Germany, and proficiency in SAP finance modules.

This is a contractual position, working in the client’s preferred EU timezone, with a regular onsite presence required in France and Germany. The initial contract will run through the end of 2025, with a strong possibility of extension into 2026

Job Description :

• Perform accurate General Ledger (GL) accounting activities ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
• Manage fixed assets accounting including asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Prepare and support regular financial reporting and analysis.
• Apply expert knowledge of local taxation laws and regulations in France and Germany to ensure compliance and timely submission of tax filings.
• Act as the primary contact for finance teams across the EMEA region, facilitating communication and alignment on accounting and tax matters.
• Utilize SAP finance modules effectively to manage accounting processes and reporting.
• Support audits and tax reviews as required.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial data and processes.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with a strong focus on taxes and accounting. Solid understanding of local tax legislation in France and Germany. Strong proficiency in SAP finance modules. Excellent general accounting and fixed assets management skills. Fluency in French (spoken and written) is mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with multiple finance teams across locations. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
