This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your financial and problem-solving skills as part of our successful ‘hands-on’ team. As a valued member of the A&M Pan-European PEPI team based in Madrid, you will work on high-impact projects across the entire private equity lifecycle, from pre-acquisition support (operational due diligence, carve-out, merger integration) to transformation, performance improvement, operational turnaround / restructuring, and exit support.

As an Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Directors, Senior Directors, and Managing Directors. You will gain exposure to senior team members and clients, benefiting from on-the-job learning and development, and expand your professional network.

Responsibilities :

  • Support private equity firms and portfolio companies in pre-acquisition and performance improvement activities.
  • Produce extensive financial models and analyses, including cash flow models and projections.
  • Synthesize research and analysis into high-quality client reports and recommendations.
  • Create integrated models with balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow, identifying key trends and red flags.
  • Assist Managing Directors and senior team members with client pitch preparations.
  • Build models based on financial and operational data, requiring excellent Excel (for data analysis) and PowerPoint (for presentations) skills.
  • Begin developing your professional network with contacts and referral sources.
  • Analyze large data sets using pivot tables.
  • Interpret financial statements, mainly P&L and cash flow, to draw immediate conclusions linked to operational performance.
  • Identify key information from company reporting to understand business performance.

Requirements :

  • Graduated from a leading university in Business, Engineering, or equivalent; MSc or MBA is highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Consulting, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, or Operations; experience in business development or S&OP is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and financial background, with a deep understanding of business and operational drivers.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, writing, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Fact-based, solution-focused, action-oriented, and determined to make a difference; self-starter with entrepreneurial flair.
  • Familiarity with the private equity lifecycle.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal); additional European languages are desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
