Technical Motion Designer

As a Technical Motion Designer you know how to bring storyboards & creative concepts to life. You are an expert in translating those creative ideas into ‘rigged’ automation templates using in-depth expressions & scripting knowledge within After Effects. In this role, you’ll tackle projects requiring a blend of technical expertise, programming skills, art direction, graphic design, editing, and (2D) motion design.

You have a strong grasp of traditional graphic design and motion theory, combined with a readiness to push creative boundaries. Your forte lies in attention to detail and a dedication to quality. You're enthusiastic about applying design principles to develop effective and scalable templates. During your downtime, you enjoy exploring the latest plugins or AI innovations that can streamline your workflow, and you're proactive in sharing your insights with the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Become a Design Automation Expert : Upskill in automation and tech knowledge to attain expertise; explore the intricacies of creative automation processes, from data feeds to templates & master the basics of building and managing data feeds.

Content Creation : Produce inspiring and well-crafted designs that bring the campaigns for our clients to live in a digital-first environment while leveraging automation technologies.

Be able to work independently and collaborate with teams of designers, art directors, account and tech planners to come up with creative concepts and designs.

Take ownership of creative challenges from brief to delivery, including presenting ideas internally or to clients.

Support senior stakeholders in managing template creation, maintenance, and updates, and feed builds.

Work across a variety of asset types across social, display, statics, HTML / banners and video.

Communicate with stakeholders in the process of campaign creation to ensure seamless production and functioning of templates.

Stay up-to-date with industry developments, tools, and automation technologies.

Be a brand guardian and maintain brand consistency on projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Expert in After Effects (expressions / scripts)

Experience crafting templates, design systems or similar tools; with the goal to facilitate streamlined asset production

Interest in video automations technologies and AI tooling

Experience as a Tech / Motion Designer or similar role

Well-familiar with the Adobe creative suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition)

Experience with Figma

Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team and clients

Expert in graphic and motion design principles

Ability to remain focused under pressure within a fast-paced environment

Gets excited about learning new things and exploring new formats

Strong attention to visual detail and quality.

Nice to have :

Experience with other automation software such as : Celtra or Smartly

Experience with Display / web development
