Overview Business Investor Advisory Energy Trainee at Arup Madrid. Arup’s energy transaction advisory team is growing; this internship focuses on delivering technical advisory assignments to support clients investing in renewables and storage assets and companies.
Responsibilities Participate in due diligence in renewable asset portfolio transactions (in operation and under development).
Consult on renewable energy acquisition strategies (Self-consumption, PPAs, Guarantees of Origin, others).
Provide insight on technical, commercial and ESG aspects for infrastructure and energy investors and developers through due diligence reports, business plans, strategic insights and portfolio optimisation studies.
Perform a key analyst role in international and multi-disciplinary project delivery teams, liaising with other experts on complex issues.
Distill large amounts of information toward key technical and ESG business plan drivers, including working with data analytics tools.
Collaborate with wider international teams to develop our sustainable investment offering.
Attend meetings with clients to present findings on projects.
Qualifications Currently studying a Degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mines or similar (specialty in electricity or energy technologies preferred).
Master’s degree in Renewable Energies, Energy Engineering or similar is valuable.
Advanced use of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
High level of Spanish and English required (C1).

Immediate incorporation
Duration : 6 months internship (extendable; possibility of joining after)
Schedule : 20 to 40 hours per week (defined with the student)
Remuneration : based on training level and hours
