It’s creative, hands-on, and mission-critical work — solving tricky problems, testing every circuit, and making sure our satellites are ready to thrive in the toughest environment of all : space.The RoleWe're looking for a talented Electronics Engineer to take technical ownership of mixed-signal and high-speed electronics designs for our satellites. This is a hands-on, impactful role where you'll collaborate across disciplines to build robust, high-performance electronics destined for orbit.From capturing requirements and firmware development to signal integrity testing and on-site fault finding — you’ll be at the heart of the full electronics lifecycle.What you'll be doingOwn and develop electronics designs for space applicationsCross-discipline collaborate between Systems, Mechanical, and Software teams to work toward design solutions and capture and refine requirementsOptimise and improve existing designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturabilityAssist in the development & testing of high-speed signal architecturesDevelop firmware for microcontrollers (C++, Rust a big plus)Collaborate with the Software team for seamless integrationConduct on-site testing and fault-finding of flight hardwareSkills you’ll need to be successfulDegree in Electronics Engineering (or related field)Proven capability in mixed-signal design layout practicesStrong grasp of signal integrity, EMC, and power electronicsFamiliarity and use of serial comms protocolsAppreciation of designing for extreme environments (especially space)Clear written and verbal communicationStrong sense of technical ownership and initiativeSkilled in cross-disciplinary collaborationAttention to documentation and detailAbility to manage time and priorities under pressureWhy Open Cosmos?Work at the cutting edge of space technology with customers around the globe.A mission-driven company making space accessible to help solve real-world challenges.A diverse, ambitious, and supportive team.
