In ARQUIMEA SPACE develops spaceflight parts and equipment for satellites and launchers . We specialize in thermal control systems, structural panels, optical payloads, avionics, release and deployment mechanisms, and rad-hard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners we provide high-throughput smallsats and their subsystems . Our brand-new factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations .
We are looking for a Avionics Systems Engineer with the mission of to take responsibility for the system design , development , integration , and testing of avionics subsystems , including flight computers, power generation and distribution, communication systems, sensors and actuators, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the avionics architecture meets mission requirements .
Tasks to be performed :
System Design & Architecture : Develop avionics system architecture of the entire satellite, ensuring compatibility with spacecraft mission requirements.
Hardware & Software Integration : Work with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to integrate avionics components such as flight computers, sensors, and telemetry systems.
Testing & Validation : Conduct environmental, functional, and performance testing of avionics systems, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulations, and launch preparation.
Troubleshooting & Anomaly Resolution : Lead the resolution of significant avionics-related issues during entire project lifetime.
Documentation & Compliance : Generate technical documentation including design reviews, requirements and specifications documents, interface control documents, and verification and integration test plans.
Required skills, experience and candidate profile :
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
Master’s or PhD Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering related technical discipline is a plus.
Knowledge of radiation-hardened electronics and space-qualified components.
Experience working with product / component developers and vendors supply chain.
The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU and must be able to travel to the US.
