Overview

Our client, a global leader in power grid monitoring and analytics, is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to expand their grid analytics business across Southern and Eastern Europe. Their advanced sensor and AI-driven software solutions provide utility operators with real-time visibility, helping prevent failures and accelerate fault detection.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role for an experienced professional who can drive growth in a complex, solution-based sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies for grid analytics solutions across the region.
  • Partner with regional sales teams and technical experts to deliver compelling account strategies.
  • Lead pilot projects and field trials, ensuring long-term solution adoption.
  • Build strong relationships with utility stakeholders, from engineers to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing on regional campaigns (digital and traditional).
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to the wider commercial team.
  • Manage long, complex sales cycles with multi-year engagements.
  • Report regularly on sales pipeline, revenue targets, and regional performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal product, engineering, and commercial teams.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of power grids and utility sector challenges.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the electrical power industry, including 5+ years in technical sales of hardware / software solutions.
  • Engineering background with proven transition into commercial / business development roles.
  • Track record of solution-based selling and managing multiple complex projects.
  • Comfortable engaging both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with systems integration, SCADA, and communications protocols (preferred).
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the region.
