About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.

• At least 6 years ofprofessional software engineering experiencein Java and Spring Boot, as well as developing backend RESTful services within amicroservicesarchitecture.

• At least 6 years of experience with OpenSearch (or similar search engines) and Oracle DBexpertise, with experience writing andoptimizingSQL queries for relational databases.

• At least 2 years of experience with LLM agents/assistants, includingall ofthe following:tool/function calling, retrieval (RAG), and automated evaluations.

It would be great if you alsohave. . .

• Experience running services in docker.

• Experience using Jenkins.

• Knowledge about AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Experience developing backend systems in Python (APIs, microservices, ETL pipelines).

What will you be doing in this role?

• Take aroleimplementing our backend services.

• Workas a backend software engineer in a cross-functional team.

• Write quality, well-tested, documented code.

• Adhere todevelopmentbest practices and standards as set within the team.

• Help support existing systems, diagnosing issues, andidentifyingbugs.

• Work closely with QA, DevOps, Product Owners, SolutionAnalystsand Project Management.

The team works in close partnership withdata scientists, product managers, and domain expertsacross Clarivate’sLife Sciences & Healthcare divisionto design and delivernext-generation AI capabilities.

We collaborate closely withinternal stakeholders, includingR&D, Product, and Platform Engineering teams, and benefit from Clarivate’sstrong innovation cultureand access to aglobal engineering community. This provides continuous learning opportunities and exposure to large-scale, high-impact projects.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time, permanent position, primarily working core business hours in CET, with flexibility to collaborate with teams as needed.

This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 3 days a week.
