  • About the Role
  • The AMC Enterprise Premium Support Engineer is responsible for
  • : Key customer support ownership and issue resolution.Deliver reactive and proactive support activities according to Service Level Agreement to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty- Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customer- Gathers and assesses customer needs, both business and technical- Lead Customer Expectation management as part of escalation process- Business, technical, or functional knowledge at the mastery level plus administrative or operations knowledgeClient / customer relationship- Maintains excellent communications with customer management- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Represents the company as a technical expert with customers, shares knowledge in area of expertise- Builds customer loyalty through being a trusted advisor- Partners effectively with others in the account to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfactionTeam collaboration.- Actively supports the account team with solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer communications- Transfers knowledge to Presales peers via contributing participation in education programs- Identifies overlooked opportunities within the account- Analyzes and provides support to deals in the pipeline where needed- Assists with requests for expertise from peers- Facilitates smooth transition from sales to implementation by orienting the appropriate teams to the solution design- Understands the roles and effectively engages other teams and resources within the company and partners- Mentor / consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues
  • Education and Experience Required
  • : - Technical University or Bachelor's degree preferred.- Typically 5-8 years experience in technical support and / or consulting.- Experience in industry desired.
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • : Core technical requirements are : - Mainframe Experience / Knowledge - IBM z / OS- Understanding of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, IMS, PL / I- Mainframe Software / Technologies - Scheduling, security- Micro Focus AMC Enterprise / Mainframe Software experience;
  • Enterprise Developer, Visual COBOL, Enterprise Server, Enterprise Test Server, Server Express, Server for Enterprise Edition, Net Express, or othersGood to Have : - Knowledge of cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, Google- Containers - Docker, Kubernetes- Git / Version control / SCCM- Pipelines - Jenkins- DevOps- Open-source platforms- Native services in z / OSIf you want to be part of what's next and find out more about our available opportunities, visit Micro Focus Careers.LI-GB1
