Senior Security Architect – Cybersecurity Leader | Hybrid Madrid

Are you a cybersecurity expert ready to make a global impact? Join a leading insurance and financial services organization where your expertise will define secure digital architectures, implement critical controls, and drive automation—all within a flexible hybrid work environment.

As a Senior Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cybersecurity strategy across global operations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create secure, scalable architectures while balancing innovation with risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop practical and versatile security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes for applications and solutions
  • Review, advise on, and approve security concepts for a variety of digital solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to drive secure adoption within IT departments
  • Lead complex security discussions with multiple stakeholders, providing expert guidance
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on security posture
  • Advance technical and organizational security competencies, adapting to emerging trends

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale security architectures
  • Deep expertise in multiple cybersecurity domains : network security, application security, IAM, endpoint / mobile security, or cloud infrastructures
  • Strong understanding of application and cloud-native service development and security challenges
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to translate complex security concepts into actionable solutions
  • Adaptable, solution-focused, and passionate about staying current with cybersecurity trends

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft Cloud certifications, or SANS GIAC
  • Experience with security automation and DevSecOps practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to financial services
  • Prior experience in financial services or reinsurance
  • Security risk assessment experience
