Overall regional leadership responsibility in managing the Schneider Electric (SE) Global Business Travel Program and T&E (expense) Governance. Develop and execute end to end Global Business Travel - Expense business strategies, drive Business Travel operational efficiencies and user experience, enforce the SE Global T&E Policy and uphold safety and well-being of SE corporate travelers. This position reports to the Global Head and Service Owner of Travel Operations. This leader is expected to perform the following : Develop a strategic regional travel program and service operation plan aligned to the Global SE T&E imperatives; this plan should provide roadmap towards the attainment of business priorities, execution of key initiatives and efforts required to drive cross-business and function alignment. Establish and implement standardized SE-BT operational processes and procedures to optimize traveler services and reinforce policy compliant travel bookings. Engage internal business partners such as Procurement, Finance, Global Security, Digital and other SE functions and departments. Analyze and draw actional insights from the SE traveler spend and transactions data in building a program that would promote compliant corporate traveler behaviors. OTHER Critical Leader ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage and support T&E end-to-end processes globally across a full spectrum of business travel related processes, tools and services. Manage and support stakeholder management across Schneider Electric (SE) divisions and functional departments. Builds relationships and collaborates with key stakeholders to provide transparency on business travel spend across all travel categories. Lead and contribute to the execution and development of the operational plans in line with the Global, Regional and Local business travel & expense governance requirements. Drive traveler services optimization and work with Schneider Electric (SE) IT to increase automation, through collaboration recommend and support the execution of solutions to overcome business travel & expense technology limitations and execute remediation plans when required. Operate constructively within a matrix organization, driving organizational alignment and setting clear business travel & expense governance program expectations for Schneider Electric (SE). Work with travel service provider to conduct a consistent BT program management review process and harness partnership efforts toward continuous improvement. Feed the backlog of Concur expense with countries requirements (threshold updates, expense type creation, improvement) and assess the business value (impact on experience, legal requirements, etc.) Oversight of travel management / service provider performance including all operational issues, SLA’s, management reporting systems, and adherence to policy. Develop, coordinate and manage all travel vendor relationships and programs (agency, air, hotel, car rental, and other travel related services). Provide business travel expertise and direction on the use of various automated travel technology tools including travel management reporting tools and self- booking tools and Concur expense Develop strong internal working relationships across all Schneider Electric (SE) departments especially Finance, Recruiting, Benefits, Workplace Services, Safety & Security, Meetings / Events, Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Executive Admins, IT and International locations. Design and / or implement travel & expense training / seminars for travelers and travel arrangers. Maintain business travel & expense information and organization communication platforms. Animation through Tip & Tricks, answer questions on the Viva Engage groups Partner with the Procurement organization to identify savings opportunities, service enhancements, process improvements, deployment of program leading practices and supplier management. Benchmark, analyze, monitor, and report on travel expenditures and compliance. Assess and generate quarterly reports on corporate travel expenditures against budgets and forecasts. Work with Schneider Electric (SE) Global Security on duty of care requirements and traveler safety related needs Qualifications & Experience Minimum of bachelor’s degree. MBA a plus Business management experience in the following areas : corporate travel management / hospitality management, business administration, procurement, finance At a minimum of >
5 years corporate travel and expense industry knowledge Extensive and proven collaborative and leadership experience Robust understanding of travel and expense, including sourcing, contracting, negotiating, tools, and processes, as well as finance, buy to pay, HR, and other cross business resources Strategic thinker : proven ability to anticipate and resolve complicated issues Demonstrated project management skills (multi-faceted & complex projects) with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time Clear thinking / problem solving; have successfully led cross-functional projects / process improvement within Sourcing function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp innovative ideas.
