Job Overview

  • Ensure that AUT EMEA's molding departments are technically and technologically positioned as a source of competitive advantage, capable of delivering long-term (5+ years) performance.
  • Optimize and standardize molding processes in AUT EMEA, including molds, processes, and methods.
  • Monitor, control, and report on ongoing projects, customizing them to meet plant-specific needs.
  • Develop new concepts for molding processes and production in collaboration with the Center of Excellence (CoE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), and Tool & Die (T&D).
  • Develop and implement best practices (SDP) and CoE projects across all AUT EMEA locations.
  • Support production capacity balancing and develop processes and features with increased flexibility (Ramp-up, Ramp-down, End-of-life management).
  • Drive initiatives to increase plant productivity, automation, material savings, and cost reduction.
  • Instruct department leaders and plant managers to align molding activities with management goals, expectations, roadmaps, and strategies.
  • Participate regularly in EMEA meetings and workshops with department leaders to facilitate knowledge sharing and stay updated.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the molding excellence process.
  • Support manufacturing management with budgeting, CAPEX planning, equipment allocation, and overseeing rollout and execution activities.

Candidate Background

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in engineering or process development roles.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in molding; automotive industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 2+ years of management experience in a production environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of machinery, tools, and production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean tools; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
