Technical Account Manager, Strategic Industries - Financial Services

Location : Madrid

Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following : compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, applications development in a distributed systems environment.

Experience in technical engineering.

Bachelor's degree.

At AWS Enterprise Support, we’re looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support our customers’ innovation across technologies such as Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data / Analytics, Application services, Networking, Serverless, and more. The TAM acts as a trusted advisor to enable their cloud journey and enhance their understanding of AWS services to support business goals.

This role is within our Strategic Industries team, responsible for strategic accounts across various verticals, including Financial Services. The TAM will provide strategic guidance on AWS implementation and operations, helping to reduce operational risks, improve governance, and maximize AWS benefits.

Key responsibilities include :

Building solutions, providing technical guidance, and advocating for customers.

Ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while optimizing costs and complexity.

Developing trusting relationships with customers to understand their business and technical needs.

Driving technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.

Consulting with partners from developers to C-suite executives.

Collaborating with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services, and Sales teams.

Proactively identifying opportunities for additional customer value.

Providing detailed reviews of service disruptions and planning.

Offering post-sales, consultative expertise and problem-solving during workload migrations.

Uplifting customer capabilities through workshops and training sessions.

A typical day involves acting as a trusted advisor, crafting strategies to maximize AWS service adoption, and supporting diverse customers from startups to large enterprises. The role requires advising on architecture, support strategies, project planning, and operational issues.

Preferred qualifications include :

Experience with AWS or other cloud services.

Experience as a technical lead in enterprise or customer-facing environments.
