Research-Square are partnering with a leading high-tech engineering organisation developing complex systems for industries such as semiconductor technology, robotics and precision engineering.

We are looking for experienced engineers within Control Systems, Mechatronics and Machine Automation. Depending on your expertise, your focus could range from advanced control design and machine automation to system integration, testing and optimisation.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams alongside mechanical, electrical and software engineers to develop high-performance mechatronic systems from concept and simulation through to integration and validation.

We're hiring experienced engineers to help:

• Design and implement control and automation solutions for complex mechatronic systems.
• Develop control algorithms, machine behaviour, sequencing and state-based models.
• Build and validate dynamic and simulation models.
• Work on motion control, path planning and system optimisation.
• Integrate and configure controllers and software/firmware interfaces.
• Perform controller tuning, calibration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Develop solutions for fault handling, diagnostics and safe system recovery.
• Work with real-time control systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
• Collaborate across mechatronics, electronics, mechanics and software to deliver robust system solutions.

We're looking for someone experienced with as much of the following as possible:

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar.
• Experience: Approximately 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Tools: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Python, TwinCAT/Beckhoff, CODESYS and/or LabVIEW.
• Controls: Motion control, controller design/tuning, dynamic modelling or control algorithms.
• Automation: Sequencing, state machines, machine control, autonomous systems or fault handling.
• Integration: System integration, commissioning, calibration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Systems: Experience with complex mechatronic or high-tech equipment.
• Industry: Semiconductor equipment, robotics, precision systems, automotive, aerospace, medical equipment or similar complex systems.
• Mindset: Analytical, hands-on, proactive and comfortable working across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Language: Fluent English.

You do not need experience in every area listed above. We are hiring across multiple specialisations and are interested in engineers whose background sits within control systems, mechatronics, machine automation or systems integration.
