ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior TypeScript Engineer to take technical ownership of an application-protection product as the sole engineer on the codebase. This person moves from high-level product goals to researched, working features, investigating browser runtime behavior and build environments. Comfort supervising AI-assisted development and verifying results independently is essential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own the product's technical development, moving from high-level product goals to researched implementation options and working features.

- Develop application-protection capabilities across JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and build environments, rather than focusing on one front-end framework.

- Investigate browser runtime behavior and protection approaches, including developer-tools inspection and environment-access controls, while evaluating compatibility, performance, and protection trade-offs.

- Potentially contribute to a new React/Electron application UI during the initial months.

- Run short research spikes, typically one to three days as agreed during refinement, and present options, findings, risks, and recommendations to the lead architect and team.

- Use Claude Code to accelerate implementation while checking generated code and validating behavior; do not treat an AI response as a verified technical conclusion.

- Communicate progress and blockers through Slack without waiting for the next daily meeting. Publish a working schedule, remain reliably reachable within it, and communicate planned absences.

- Contribute to adjacent CI/CD, front-end, or C++ package work when needed, using research, AI assistance, and collaboration rather than assuming expertise in every stack.

MUST HAVES

- Strong hands-on TypeScript engineering skills, with at least 3 years of experience, and demonstrated ability to own technical delivery independently. Experience length alone does not establish readiness for sole-engineer product ownership.

- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript behavior, browser execution, and the build ecosystem, including tools such as Webpack or Vite; experience with every framework or tool is not required.

- A product-engineering mindset: make progress from incomplete requirements, investigate unknowns, compare options, and seek alignment on consequential decisions rather than waiting for fully specified tickets.

- Critical thinking, clear technical communication, and the ability to ask useful follow-up questions of teammates and AI agents.

- Ability to review unfamiliar code, identify defects and potential vulnerabilities, explain trade-offs, and verify AI-assisted implementations.

- Availability for European team overlap and agreed scrum meetings, with dependable asynchronous communication during the declared working schedule.

- Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

- React and Electron experience for desktop application interfaces.

- Node.js experience; familiarity with Angular, Vue, or Rollup.

- Experience with obfuscation, runtime protection, browser internals, or developer tools integrated into build workflows.

- Experience integrating native C++ packages or maintaining CI/CD workflows.

Requirements
Strong hands-on TypeScript engineering skills (at least 3+ YoE) and the autonomy to own a product's technical development as its sole allocated engineer. Ability to understand and work with the JavaScript/TypeScript application ecosystem and its build tooling. Critical thinking: break complex problems into clear steps, challenge assumptions, and ask useful questions of teammates and AI agents. Ability to supervise AI-assisted development, review generated code, and verify that implementations achieve the intended result. Willingness to work outside the primary stack when needed, including front-end tasks, C++ packages, and CI/CD, with support from AI tools and teammates.
