The Sr Manager, Global Site Activation, Legal Liaison is responsible for providing expert operational support and guidance for clinical trial contracting activities when IQVIA Biotech is a contracting party. This role serves as a key point of contact for contracting matters, ensuring efficient issue resolution, consistency in contract practices, and alignment with internal legal and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Provide study-specific contracting support to Project Managers, SSUMs, Site Contract Negotiators, and Global Template Developers.
  
• Act as the primary operational contact for complex contracting issues and facilitate timely resolution while escalating legal matters internally to Legal Department as appropriate. Note: this position is not an in-house legal in legal department
  
• Advise stakeholders on approved contracting positions, templates, and IQVIA contracting policies.
  
• Own and maintain the Global Site Contracts Library, including country-specific contract templates, guidance documents, and supporting materials.
  
• Lead the development, validation, maintenance, translation coordination, version control, and continuous improvement of contract templates.
  
• Ensure consistency with IQVIA Legal guidance and implement updated contracting practices across site contracting team.
  
• Deliver training and ongoing support to Site Contracts teams on templates, contracting processes, governance, and escalation procedures.
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive standardization, operational excellence, and compliance in contracting activities.
  
• Support the evolution of contracting processes and tools to meet changing business and country-specific requirements.
  

Experience

• 
  
• Master's degree in law and a minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience as a qualified lawyer, preferably in a Law firm or as an In-House Legal Counsel.
  
• 5 years' relevant sponsor or clinical research organization (CRO) or with Pharma Clients, preferably in clinical site contracting
  
• Preference, exposure to pharmaceutical and/or CRO environment
  
• Strong negotiating and communication skills with ability to challenge
  
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate across and within complex projects
  
• Excellent legal, financial and/or technical writing skills
  
• Thorough understanding of regulated clinical trial environment and knowledge of drug development process
  
• Knowledge and ability to apply GCP/ICH and applicable regulatory guidelines
