Overview of the Role

As a Senior UX Designer at HCLTech, you will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences for mobile products across iOS and Android platforms. You will lead design initiatives within established systems, simplify complex user journeys, and leverage cutting-edge AI tools to enhance workflows. Your expertise will directly impact the quality, accessibility, and innovation of our digital solutions, supporting HCLTech’s mission to deliver best-in-class technology products.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Lead UX design projects for mobile platforms (iOS and Android), ensuring exceptional user experience and alignment with business objectives.
• Utilize expert-level Figma skills to create, iterate, and finalize high-fidelity prototypes and design assets.
• Incorporate AI tools (such as Cursor or similar) into the design workflow to optimize efficiency and ideation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, product managers, and developers, to translate quantitative insights into actionable design improvements.
• Simplify complex user journeys that span multiple teams and touchpoints, maintaining clarity and usability.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design solutions and drive user-centric innovation.
• Maintain and enhance established design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
• Communicate design concepts, rationale, and findings effectively in English (C1 proficiency required).
• Operate autonomously, quickly adapting to ongoing projects with minimal onboarding.

Skill Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio of mobile product work (iOS and Android).
• Expert proficiency in Figma and design system management.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools (e.g., Cursor) into design workflows.
• Proven experience simplifying complex journeys across multiple teams.
• Comfort working with data analysts and interpreting quantitative data.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 minimum).
• Ability to work independently and rapidly pick up in-flight projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Other Requirements (Optional)

• Experience designing for teenagers or within institutional education contexts.
• Understanding of progress, motivation, and responsible gamification principles.
• Experience shipping localized products across multiple UI languages.
• Accessibility expertise and knowledge of inclusive design standards.
• Familiarity with GDPR, FERPA, or other regulations related to products for young people.
• Experience supporting quantitative experiments and A/B testing.
