Senior Manager Purchasing - Barcelona

In this role you lead a Finance team to ensure accurate, compliant reporting and strong internal controls across a region. You guide the accounting function to support external and internal stakeholders, while driving process improvements and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to uphold financial integrity and enable informed decision-making. • Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting with accurate P&L analysis and reconciliations
• Manage compilation of financial ratios and maintain historical performance records
• Escalate risks and opportunities to line management
• Oversee information provision for external and internal audits as directed
• Ensure filing of local financial statements, VAT, corporate income tax, and other compliance activities
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, internal controls, and process blueprints
• Provide guidance to business partners on accounting treatments for provisions
• Ensure service levels are met per SLAs
• Assist in process improvements and department project initiatives
• Coordinate repeated cycles of reporting and maintain robust control environment
• 4-8 years in accounting in medium to large international company with matrix structure
• Experience leading a medium-sized team of accountants and analysts
• Experience managing the audit process for a multinational organization
• Desirable: experience xcskxlj with financial systems implementation and change management
• Experience delivering presentations to middle and senior management
• Strong analytical abilities
• Good working knowledge of local GAAP; GAAP/IFRS knowledge advantageous
• Ability to multi-task under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and integrity, proficient in English; other languages a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Oracle SUN and Hyperion desirable
